Mindful Eating Exercise

How we eat is just as important as what we eat.

Most of us rush through meals at our desks, barely tasting our food. And after a long, stressful day, it’s so easy to use food for comfort, something that gives us pleasure, helps us numb our feelings, or lets us escape for a moment. I see this all the time with my clients: late-night emotional eating that leads to weight gain, bloating, digestive issues, and feeling out of control around food.

Food can bring joy. But when it becomes our main coping tool, it disconnects us from what we actually need in our lives.

This is where mindful eating becomes such a game-changer. It helps you slow down, tune into your body, and reconnect with your hunger, your fullness, and your emotions. It’s not about being perfect or eating very slowly at every single meal, we’re all busy, and I get it.

It’s about building moments of awareness, compassion, and curiosity.

I recorded a short guided exercise for you, and if you’ve never tried mindful eating before, this is a beautiful place to begin.

All you need is one small piece of food, a square of chocolate, a few raisins, or anything you have at home, and an open mind.

I hope you give it a try, and that it becomes a gentle starting point for building a healthier relationship with food.
